Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) was launched in the United States in October 1987 as a way to connect and unite individuals and organizations working on domestic violence issues while raising awareness for those issues.
Since that time, much progress has been made to support domestic violence victims and survivors, to hold abusers accountable, and to create and update legislation. However, there is still a lot that needs to be done, which is why Domestic Violence Awareness Month is so important.

Together, we are making a commitment to drive change. Each October, NO MORE and its allies highlight the importance of stopping and preventing violence through special events, activities, and promotions.
