Exciting news—we have a new Executive Director!

Today, I am thrilled to share that Tracy DeTomasi has joined NO MORE as its new Executive Director.

Tracy comes to NO MORE at what we all truly hope is a tipping point in understanding, addressing and preventing domestic violence, sexual assault and sexual harassment in our workplaces, communities and culture. Though there is much work to be done to continue the momentum of the #MeToo movement and advance real progress, I could not think of someone more qualified to meet the challenge and take us further, faster.

For nearly 20 years, Tracy has dedicated her career to working with children and families that have experienced violence in their lives. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Domestic Violence Services for the YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee where she oversaw the largest domestic violence shelter in the state and launched the AMEND Together campaign, a primary prevention initiative engaging men, boys and community leaders in efforts to end violence against women. Previously, she led several programs and provided clinical services to children and families in crisis in Seattle and Chicago. Now residing in Nashville, Tennessee, she is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan.

Given Tracy’s clinical background, leadership and management expertise, ability to build partnerships, experience in launching and funding innovative programs and commitment to diversity, the interim Board of Advisors and I are extremely confident that she will take NO MORE to the next level, reach beyond the “choir” and strengthen our shared efforts to end domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse.

In the coming months, you will be hearing more about Tracy’s exciting plans and NO MORE’s new initiatives, but for now I ask you to please “save the date” for the 2018 NO MORE Week, which will be held March 4th through 10th. Once againnow with even greater power and purposewe will come together to make our voices heard and inspire more people to get involved in communities around the country and the world. We hope you will plan your own and be part of NO MORE’s special events and outreach during that week.
