February Newsletter - New Campaigns, NO MORE Week & How You Can Help Survivors
February has been a busy month at NO MORE! We’ve been hard at work launching new public awareness campaigns, continuing to create and deliver educational resources and programs, and of course, gearing up for NO MORE Week 2025, the week of global activism taking place March 2nd-8th. If you haven’t already, now is the time to sign up for the NO MORE Week Challenge, the virtual Walk/Run to raise awareness and support survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
Over the last month, we’ve also been concerned about cuts to funding for essential services for survivors, including emergency shelter, legal representation, physical and mental health care, and more. The critical work of nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and around the world are being hindered. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and advocate against these rollbacks that will harm survivors and their families, and all our communities.
We’ll have more to share soon. For now, read on to learn more about our recent work and how you can help make a difference.
Shining a Light on the Dark Side of Love Language
This Valentine’s Day, we were proud to launch our latest campaign, “Language of Love,” in partnership with MullenLowe UK. At the heart of this campaign was a set of Valentine’s Day cards featuring phrases like “I love you to death” and “You’re mine.” While these may sound affectionate, in the context of an abusive relationship, such phrases can signal possessiveness, control, and coercion.

These designs were featured on our social media throughout Valentine’s week, as well as in a series of billboards and a pop-up shop in London. Through this campaign, we aim to raise awareness about coercive language in relationships and provide critical resources for those experiencing domestic abuse or stalking.
Promoting Healthy Dating During Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month
1 in 3 teens in the U.S. will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from a partner before adulthood. This Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month and beyond, we are committed to raising awareness about patterns of abuse in teenage relationships and providing crucial guidance on recognizing and responding to abuse.
During our NO MORE Week Tech. Summit on Tuesday, March 4th, we’ll be discussing some specific challenges that are on the rise for teens, including image-based abuse and online misogyny. Register here today. It’s free to attend any or all sessions! You won’t want to miss it!
The KNOW MORE Global Dialogue Series Returns
Our KNOW MORE Global Dialogue Series returned this month with a powerful new webisode: “I Grew Up With Domestic Violence: How Does It Impact Me Now?” This session explored the long-lasting effects of domestic violence on children and into adulthood. If you missed it, you can watch it now on our YouTube channel.
And don’t forget to register for our upcoming sessions! The next episode, “The Silent Weapon: Understanding the Devastating Effects of Financial Control,” airs live on March 26th at 4 pm GMT/11 am EST.
Looking Forward to NO MORE Week 2025
With just a few days left until we kick off NO MORE Week, we’re looking forward to coming together as a global community to say NO MORE to domestic and sexual violence. If you haven’t already, make your plans to get involved by joining the NO MORE Week Challenge, attending the Tech. Summit, or taking action to raise awareness and support survivors.
