As a survivor of sexual assault as a teenager and domestic violence as a young adult I speak out to let other know that they are not alone. It is not your fault and you are not alone. I had a very long journey after my sexual assault and essentially rolling right into an abusive relationship. It took years of self medicating and trying to cope with substances to finally get the help I needed. I am a survivor. At 18 years old I got the words “shatter the silence” tattooed on my wrist. We need to shatter the silence of victims. Find your strength you have it I promise. I say no more because victim shaming/blaming needs to finally come to an end. To all you are not alone...you are strong...don’t stay silent....there is hope. Liz
