March Newsletter - Celebrating a Month of Global Action

March has been an incredibly busy and gratifying month. From the overwhelming success of NO MORE Week 2025 to impactful moments at the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), we’ve seen firsthand the strength and dedication of our global community and how we can make a difference when we come together. More than ever, we’re grateful for everyone who has joined us in this global movement to end domestic and sexual violence.

Celebrating an Impactful NO MORE Week 2025

We were overwhelmed by the response to this year’s NO MORE Week, with organizations and advocates from around the world joining us to speak out against domestic and sexual violence. Here are some of the highlights:

Our day-long Tech. Summit–generously sponsored by AXA, IPG, Match Group, and Uber–brought together more than 1,250 attendees and 65 experts and advocates from around the world to explore how technology is changing the landscape of abuse prevention and response. These groundbreaking conversations are laying the groundwork for future innovation and advocacy to prevent abuse and support survivors.

If you missed it, you can catch up on all the Tech. Summit panels now on our YouTube channel.

Throughout the month, thousands of people around the world were touched by the NO MORE Week Challenge, the virtual walk/run to support survivors of abuse. We were thrilled to hear from so many participants about their passion and motivations for getting involved, underscoring the importance of our shared commitment and work towards ending domestic and sexual violence.

If you weren’t able to join the Challenge, it’s not too late to support an existing fundraiser!

Driving Global Action at CSW69

We were proud to attend CSW69 at the United Nations in New York this month, where we connected with advocates from around the world to drive progress in ending gender-based violence. Here are a few things  we got up to:

In partnership with the Commonwealth Secretariat, we hosted an inspiring gathering of leaders and advocates from across the 56 member nations, united by a shared commitment to ending gender-based violence. This powerful discussion highlighted innovative initiatives and collaborative efforts driving change across the Commonwealth.

This event was also an occasion to celebrate the work of the Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC during her time as Secretary-General of the Commonwealth and reflect on highlights of her leadership, including the creation of Commonwealth Says NO MORE. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together and look forward to building on her legacy.

Thanks to support from Uber, the Vodafone Americas Foundation, and the NYC Mayor’s Office for Ending Domestic and Gender-Based Violence, we brought together corporate partners to discuss how companies can come together to prevent domestic and sexual violence through proactive involvement, including policies, products, training, open dialogue, and support for community initiatives. Stay tuned for more details on this initiative.

In collaboration with Our Wave and Speak Your Truth today, we also delivered an impactful CSW69 side event focused on the importance of centering survivor voices in the movement to end domestic and sexual violence. This event marked the release of our Survivors’ Guide, The Lighthouse, in e-book format, providing victim-survivors with another avenue of accessing resources and support. We were grateful to be joined by Karoline Starostik–advocate, survivor, and co-creator of the guide–as a panelist.

Raising Awareness Through the KNOW MORE Global Dialogue Series

Our latest installment of the KNOW MORE Dialogue Series shed light on the often hidden and devastating impacts of financial abuse on individuals after leaving an abusive relationship. In this eye-opening conversation, panelists explored how financial abuse can manifest after separation, its lasting effects on survivors, and practical strategies for reclaiming financial autonomy and stability.

You can still catch up on all Global Dialogue episodes and register for future sessions.
