Mom Central Teams Up with NO MORE
Once we have children, we see the world differently. Suddenly anything around us could be a potential threat and we protect our family in every way we can. Oftentimes, these threats can be disguised within things we trust and put faith in. With 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 7 boys experiencing sexual abuse during childhood, we have to prepare our children in our homes, schools, and communities for any possible scenario to ensure they don’t become a victim of physical or sexual abuse.
I’m proud to announce myself as a partner of NO MORE, an initiative helping parents talk about these important issues in order to spread national awareness. I urge you to visit NOMORE.org where you can download a free NO MORE tool kit, including logos, fliers, postcards and information on spreading awareness to your family and loved ones. NO MORE’s new symbol hopes to bring supporters, families, and victims together to give support to those effected by domestic violence and sexual assault so no one ever has to suffer in silence and fear.
Help us share this symbol and promote this initiative by sharing with friends, family, co-workers, and communities. Visit NOMORE.org, to join in with every major domestic violence and sexual assault organization in the country. Help spread awareness through your other social media platforms and visit NO MORE on Facebook and Twitter.
Whether a child, a friend, a co-worker or a stranger, no victim should have to ever experience the emotional and physical pain of sexual or physical abuse. Alone our voice is quiet, but together supporting this cause, our voices are loud and clear. It’s empowering to know we can use our voices, both online and offline, to help bring about the change we want to see in the world. Join in. Be proud. Be one of the voices to encourage change.
