New Podcast Highlights Shocking 1999 Domestic Violence Case—and the Miracle that Resulted

Do you know the story of Cherica Adams?

A new project from the Charlotte Observer and McClatchy Studios, in partnership with NO MORE, reveals the untold truth behind the infamous 1999 domestic violence case involving Cherica Adams and former NFL player Rae Carruth.

A seven-part podcast, ‘Carruth‘ tells the story of Cherica Adams’ murder in 1999, and the impact it had on her mother, Saundra Adams, and her son, Chancellor Lee Adams. This October, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we hope that this story will deepen and expand much-needed conversations about domestic abuse.
