NO MORE Week 2025: From Awareness to Action

NO MORE Week 2025: From Awareness to Action

NO MORE Week arrives with special significance and renewed urgency as many support organizations face funding and other challenges that could affect their ability to provide essential services. The organizations that provide shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and crisis response to survivors of domestic and sexual violence are navigating an increasingly complex landscape landscape while demand for their services remains persistently high.

While raising awareness is always a valuable first step, NO MORE Week invites us to consider how we can transform our understanding into meaningful action. When we display the blue NO MORE symbol or share information about these issues with friends, family or on social media, we start important conversations.

The real impact, however, comes when we follow through with tangible support, like reaching out to policymakers and legislators about maintaining victim service funding, offering time to local organizations, signing up for the NO MORE Week Challenge, making financial contributions to prevention programs, or advocating for supportive policies within our spheres of influence.

There is no question: The reality is stark. Domestic and sexual violence continue to impact millions of people across all demographics and geographies. Now we must move beyond simply acknowledging these issues to confronting the societal conditions that allow them to flourish, pairing awareness with resources to effectively meet identified needs for everyone.

By transforming our collective concern into concrete commitment, we contribute to a world where survivors receive the support they deserve – comprehensive services, caring communities, and systems designed not just to respond to violence, but ultimately to prevent it. As overarching support for the domestic and sexual violence movement hangs in the balance, this NO MORE Week presents not just an opportunity but an obligation to demonstrate our values through action.
