November Newsletter – Uniting for the 16 Days of Activism

Our November newsletter comes to you as the 16 Days for Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, an international campaign to end violence against women and girls, has just gotten underway. From November 25th (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10th (Human Rights Day), communities worldwide unite to stand against gender-based violence.

While NO MORE works year-round to support survivors and prevent abuse, the 16 Days is a powerful time for us to connect with a global community dedicated to this vital cause. Here’s how we’ve been making an impact, thanks to your support:

Bringing Together Leading Voices for Change for the #EVAWDay Global Broadcast

On November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (#EVAWDay), we were honored to partner with Peace One Day, the Centre for Public Impact, and Avon to present a 6+-hour broadcast featuring an extraordinary lineup of survivors, leaders, and advocates transforming the conversation around gender-based violence.

With nearly 700K viewers worldwide, this event brought together a global community dedicated to ending gender-based violence. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this important moment that will continue to inspire and fuel greater action.

If you missed the broadcast, don’t worry! You can watch it in full here and we’ll be sharing highlights across our social platforms throughout the 16 Days of Activism.

Increasing Awareness Through the KNOW MORE Global Dialogue Series

This month, we hosted the third session of our ongoing KNOW MORE Global Dialogue Series focused on the complex journey of an abusive relationship, from the early dating phase through the aftermath of separation. The latest episode, held on November 20th, brought together experts to discuss issues surrounding sexual violence within intimate relationships, including coercion, consent, intimate image sharing, and the troubling increase in synthetic image abuse.

Missed the session? You can catch up on this and previous discussions on our YouTube channel. And don’t forget to register for future sessions, resuming in the new year!
