Why We’re Launching a Survey on the Impacts of Funding Threats and Policy Shifts on Global GBV Programs and Services

Around the world, organizations working to prevent and respond to gender-based violence (GBV) provide critical, life-saving services. From emergency shelter and counseling to legal advocacy and prevention education, these programs are a vital lifeline for survivors and their communities.

Over the past few months, we’ve been hearing from our partners across the sector about the increasing uncertainty they’re navigating in the face of threats to funding, changes to DEI guidelines, and broader shifts in political priorities. The challenges are mounting, yet there is still only limited data to capture the full scope of impacts on the GBV sector.

That’s why we’re launching a Survey on the Impacts of Funding Threats and Policy Shifts on Global GBV Programs and Services. This effort aims to collect real-time insights from the people who know this issue best: those on the frontlines of GBV prevention and response.

The survey is open to any working in or with GBV-focused organizations, anywhere in the world. Your responses will remain confidential and help us build a robust evidence base to inform advocacy efforts and make the case for sustainable, long-term investment in GBV programs globally.

The survey is open now and will close on April 27th. Please consider sharing this survey with your networks, colleagues, and partners. Every response strengthens our collective advocacy and helps ensure survivors continue to receive the support they need, now and in the future.
