The Allstate Foundation Accepting Applications for Purple Purse Challenge

The Allstate Foundation is accepting applications through April 15, 2015 for nonprofits to join us in the Purple Purse Challenge this October.PastedGraphic-16

Last year, the Purple Purse Challenge raised nearly $2.5 million for participating organizations and the domestic violence survivors they serve. The Allstate Foundation is once again partnering with nonprofits across the country to use the power of Purple Purse to end domestic violence and financial abuse.

The Allstate Foundation will select up to 200 local, state and national nonprofits that provide financial empowerment services to domestic violence survivors to join the Purple Purse Challenge. We’ll work together to create a national fundraising and public awareness campaign to support important work to end domestic violence and financially empower survivors. Participating Purple Purse Community Partners will receive: ongoing fundraising and campaign support from The Allstate Foundation and CrowdRise; a package of promotional materials (including a limited edition purple purse designed by campaign ambassador Kerry Washington, Purple Purse charms, posters and more) to publicize the Challenge in their communities; and the chance to compete for $500,000 in prize funding offered by The Allstate Foundation.

More details about the program and information about how to apply before the April 15 deadline are outlined in the Purple Purse Challenge RFP. If you have questions or want to learn more, join us for a Q&A conference call on April 2 at 2:00 p.m. CST at (855) 801-9344, Conference ID: 8405750.

We hope you’ll consider applying or passing this invitation along to other organizations you think might be interested. Together, we’ll use the power of the purse to end domestic violence!
