Gender Violence: Addressing the Challenges and Building Effective Responses
The Midwestern Region Chair Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, and Vice-Chair Wisconsin Attorney General Brad D. Schimel, invite you to attend the NAAG Midwestern Region Meeting, where attendees will discuss and explore methods that state attorneys general can utilize to combat gender-based violence and discrimination.
The Agenda will explore important topics, current trends, and complexities surrounding gender-based violence and discrimination, their impact on states, and how attorneys general can prevent and respond to associated challenges. Meeting panels will discuss various forms of gender-based violence and discrimination, innovative ways to reduce the rape kit backlog, best methods for investigating and prosecuting sexual assault and domestic violence cases, laws that tackle cyber-violence, approaches to combatting campus sexual violence, and more.
