About Runway to Freedom:
Providing funding, shelter and social programs to victims of domestic violence is at the core of the foundation of Runway to Freedom. All proceeds from this event will benefit Mary’s Place, a King County agency that provides homeless women and their children food, safety, shelter, counseling and an array of social services. The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence reports that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been victims of physical violence within their lifetime. Everyday 3 women in the U.S. are murdered by a current or former male partner. Domestic violence is not a singular or socially exclusive situation; it is a problem that can and does affect the majority in our nation. RTF6 works to raise money to fight this problem! RTF was founded in 2010 by Lauren Grinnell.
