I am going to be doing a project for the hashtag #SurvivorLoveLetter. I am seeking submissions from any and everyone who would like to write a general letter of encouragement (only signed with your city and state) to a survivor of sexual assault, child abuse, domestic abuse, teen dating violence, or basically anything you deem worthy to write about regarding these subject matters. The submissions do not have to be long, nor detailed, but if you would like to write some words of encouragement to those out there that have suffered in silence, please use the project as a gateway to do so. Throughout the week of March 6th-12th, I will be posting these letters all around Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Portsmouth. Feel free to email me with any questions, concerns, comments, etc. I am hoping for a large turnout on this and to hopefully make a difference in at least one person’s life. For more examples, click here. There are thousands of submissions on there. I cannot take credit for the idea of this project, but I definitely would like to bring it to the Tidewater area!!
