Hello, my name is Ashley. I am a domestic violence victim, I was in a horrible relationship back in 2007. Recently I met another domestic violence victim, she is actually my Zumba instructor. When I shared my story with her, she opened up to me and we have become very close now. I had a great idea to do some good and get a good work out at the same time. There is a gym that she works in Emerson NJ and where I also work out. They area always having what they call Zumbathon for different causes such as breast cancer. But I never see any gyms having Zumbathons for domestic violence awareness. My Zumba instructor thought that this is a great idea, and she would be more than willing to talk to the gym owner and get other Zumba instructors involved. We have no doubt that the gym and other zumba instructors would be more than willing to help out. The money we collect would be donated, and hopefully to this company ( I am not sure how much) , but my zumba Instructor and I could find that out. In a perfect world I would love to do this Zumbathon this October, but I am not sure how fast her and I could put this together, so we are being realistic and aiming for next October. Would you be interested?
