I say no more because how many more excuses can you make? I was abused from the day I started college to the day I flunked out. For five years, I dealt with both physical and emotional abuse; it literally tormented me. I wasn’t myself. For a very long time I felt like I was having an out--of-body experience but I guess one could also call that a state of denial. In 2016 I called it quits and moved back home to my mother’s house in Chicago (had been away since 2012 in Iowa). Here it is 2019 and I have my own place, a successful career with Apple, three beautiful nieces and nephews, and a very content life. God put me in that particular scenario for that amount of time for a reason. I could have easily walked away, but I chose not to. There had to be a reason for that, I strongly believe it.
