Show your support for NO MORE domestic violence and sexual assault
I Say No More because I know too many women afraid to come forward about the abuse they have withstood after witnessing the social stigma from peers, as well as the perpetrator bias held against victims by many professionals, during my own journey coming forward about years of abuse. Unfortunately, the court processes are drawn out, sufficient protection victims is not accessible with ease, police find their hands tied on technicalities, services blame women for their vulnerability, and victims are often not only harassed by perpetrators but by their families and friends. We are not just let down by our partners who abuse us, but by a failing system and so instead of victims being encouraged to seek help, they find themselves fearful of the reality coming forward opens you to further abuse even still.
