Show your support for NO MORE domestic violence and sexual assault
I say No More because I believed I was created for more by God. His plans were to prosper me, keep me from harm, and give me hope for a future. Once I truly internalized this I knew I can do all things through Christ and it was time to leave the control and physical abuse against my son and me. Once I decided to leave the shelter was full but I did not give up hope I kept calling and that very night my son and I was able to meet the state police and go there to stay. From there, I was pointed in the right direction to receive some government assistance to help us get on our feet. My hope is insurance laws will change so women and children can go to a doctor privately and it not be submitted so women and children can get necessary medical care, along with documentation/proof without the fear of retaliation from their abuser.
