Show your support for NO MORE domestic violence and sexual assault
I say NO MORE because I am a Domestic Violence Survivor. When I was still in that relationship, I once had a police officer tell me that I was not worthy of their time, "because I would just go back to him anyway". After many years in that marriage where I was physically, financially, and emotionally abused, I finally received the support I needed from my local domestic violence program to get out safely. The counseling services they provided helped me to understand the cycle of domestic violence and break that pattern for my family. Now after many years of healing, I volunteer regularly at organizations who help those escaping a violent environment. It is important, now more than ever, that we stand together and say NO MORE to domestic violence.
