As a domestic violence survivor turned advocate and community activist, I have turned my pain into purpose! Gone are the days where I questioned my worth, swallowed my pride, and hated my reflection. No more are the days where I hid bruises (including the invisible ones), believed his hateful words, and pretended everything was ok.
The woman I am today stands as the proud owner of a non-profit organization (www.growfoundtionva.org), helping other survivors find their freedom, while bringing awareness to an epidemic that affects us all. The SURVIVOR I am today knows that I am a fighter and that I always have been. I remember when I was afraid to hear the sound of my own voice.
