New York, December 18, 2017 – NO MORE—the campaign that unites and strengthens a diverse, global community to help end domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse—has named Tracy DeTomasi as its new Executive Director. Selected by the organization’s Board of Advisors following a nationwide search, Tracy is taking over the role immediately.
“Since NO MORE launched less than five years ago we have made great strides in raising visibility and building a powerful coalition of nonprofits, corporations, advocates, students and community activists dedicated to stopping domestic and sexual violence. It is now a pivotal time to help drive real culture change and prevent violence from happening in the first place. We are thrilled that Tracy is bringing incredible passion, experience, leadership skills and innovation to NO MORE at this critical moment for the organization and in our society,” said Jane Randel, co-founder of NO MORE.
Tracy has nearly 20 years of experience working with children and families that have experienced violence in their lives. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Domestic Violence Services for the YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee. In that position, she oversaw the largest domestic violence shelter in the state and launched the AMEND Together campaign, a primary prevention initiative engaging men, boys and community leaders in efforts to end violence against women.
Previously, Tracy led several programs and provided clinical services to youth and families in crisis in Seattle and Chicago. She also served as security lead for Smart Bomb Interactive, creating a staff training program for a children’s online video game to prevent safety issues from occurring. Tracy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan. She resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
