Friends and neighbors can save a life. NO MORE is encouraging bystanders to get help if they witness or suspect domestic violence during the COVID-19 quarantine.
To stop the spread of COVID-19, we were asked to stay at home. But home isn’t a safe place for everyone. With victims increasingly trapped at home with their abusers, global domestic violence cases surged. Even as lockdowns are lifted, this remains a critical time for survivors.
In response, NO MORE is creating new campaigns and resources to heighten awareness of the problem and increase action to help address it. If you are being abused yourself, or if you suspect that a friend or loved one is being abused, there is help available. In an emergency, call 911. For resources, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.
