#ListeningFromHome | Together, we can stop domestic violence.

As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting dramatic surge in incidents of domestic violence, NO MORE created the #ListeningFromHome campaign. The effort encourages all bystanders who are safe at home to help domestic violence survivors who are not.

Preliminary data shows domestic violence homicides are already twice 2019 totals in the United States—nearly all of them occurring since COVID-19 began. Globally, the pandemic is likely to cause a one-third reduction in progress towards ending gender-based violence. This is a critical time for survivors, and our prevention work must continue.

Just like you continue to take steps to help stop the spread of COVID-19, take steps to help stop domestic violence. Learn to recognize the signs, how to safely intervene, and where to get help. If you know or suspect that somebody suffers from domestic violence, contact them, and keep that vital line of support open.
